First off, thank you everyone for all the kind words and celebratory messages about my recent LinkedIn posts. You folks really have reinforced that I’ve made the right decision to move into the #Salesforce ecosystem! #Ohana

After my exam, I did jump right back into Trailhead to complete a few badges. I also decided to focus on learning related to one of the two low-scoring areas on my exam, and after a few stops and starts (and some needed post-surgery* recovery time) I completed the Selling with Sales Cloud Specialist #superbadge this afternoon.

This superbadge was focused primarily on date entry and management for leads, opportunities, accounts, and contacts. I now have a better idea of how leads convert and how to decipher the difference between the four objects from a non-Salesforce point of view. I think it was a good start, but I can see that I need a lot more hands-on practice in the Sales and Marketing Applications area so I understand what step to take when. Well, that’s what learning is for, right? See you on the trail!

*Yes, you read that right: I had surgery Tuesday morning and will be in an air cast / on crutches until the end of September. It was planned and I’m recovering as well as can be expected, but don’t ask me to run any 5Ks for the rest of the year.
