Deciding what to do at #Salesforce #TrailheadDX feels like choosing what artists to see at the Calgary Folk Fest. Good thing I have 10+ years of practice! Here’s what I did:
- Identified my two main priorities (admin certification and community).
- Made my big list.
- Went through the big list, moved anything not directly related to main priorities to second list (to be watched later). If something was best watched live (e.g. Q&A session), kept them on the first list and made a note of it.
- Went through (smaller) first list again, identified 1-2 sessions must-watch sessions for each priority and ones best watched live, fit them into schedule.
- Noted where the other items from the smaller first list may work (i.e. no conflicts with items in #4), fit them into schedule. Anything left got moved to the second list.
I ended up with a list of things that fits my priorities, includes a couple of live sessions, and I have some back ups (i.e. the second list) if my energy flags at the end of the day. (Spoiler: it always does, so if you’re at the Folk Fest look for me under a shady tree come the late afternoon!)
